The NHC has officially designated the Caribbean disturbance as Potential Tropical Cyclone 26. The official forecast carries it to just southeast of the southeastern Lousiana coast by early Friday afternoon as a 100 mph hurricane but landfall could be anywhere between the Louisiana coast and Northwest Florida.
